Editor Petr Vizina
Petr Vizina learned about reading and writing in primary school in 1973. In 1990 he was already teaching reading and writing himself at the Bratrská Primary School. Since 2003 he has been writing for the Lidové noviny newspaper and since 2008 for the Hospodářské noviny newspaper; in 2009 he wrote texts for Czech TV reports. He has written hundreds of music articles for Lidové noviny and Hospodářské noviny, and for the magazines Respekt, Reflex and the Catholic ADéčko; he worked as a presenter at the Czech Radio Wave station; he hosted the Before Midnight programme on the CT24 Czech TV Channel and a literature programme on the CTArt Czech TV Channel and has been submitting reports for CT24 for years; he has played hundreds of concerts with Traband, some with Chris Burroughs, Terry Lee Hale, Katka Šarkozi and mainly with Peppe Voltarelli from Calabria, which he says has been the best thing of all.
Petr Vizina told us: Everyone’s dream is to sell one’s talents, not one’s time. Still it is safer for most employers to buy time than pay for an employee’s talents. How do I know? Ask women with small children how easy or hard it was to find work after maternity leave.
