Pilsen is saying farewell to the title of European Capital of Culture 2015

On 12th December, the eleven-month-long European Capital of Culture programme officially came to an end. In total, including the difficult preparatory phase, the project has lasted for seven years. Hundreds of participants, local and foreign partners and institutions alike, have taken part, and hundreds of thousands of tourists have been lured to the city. The prestigious European brand for which many cities compete for several years in advance has brought with it the expected positive effects.
